In the case of SMOKE and/or FIRE: implement the R-E-D plan:

· REACT: Activate the nearest alarm-pull box, dial Suffolk University Police at (617) 573-8111, and report the exact location of the fire. DO NOT HESITATE TO ACTIVATE THE ALARM – PULL BOX UPON THE DETECTION OF FIRE AND/OR SMOKE.

· EVACUATE: When the alarm sounds, evacuate the building immediately, report to your Floor Warden or supervisor at your building’s designated Assembly Area.

· DECIDE: Safest and quickest exit route out of and away from the building. Follow directions of Emergency Personnel.


*(In the event the Fire Alarm System is activated and no smoke or fire is detected follow the instructions of the pre-recorded fire alarm communication message that will be activated in most University Buildings. If no message is heard evacuate the building.)
