How to Use Erecruiting.com

You can access full-time job postings received by Career Services through the eRecruiting system.

You can also access the VAULT Career Library through the eRecruiting system.

To register with eRecruiting, you will need a token. Please call Terry Wells in Career Services at (617) 573-8480.
To access co-op positions, you must schedule an appointment with a co-op counselor.

Creating Your Account

Before using the system you must create your own account.  You need only fill in the fields with the red dot.  If you’re an alumn or you have forgotten your student ID number, you may enter any series of random numbers in the student ID number field.  This field is system required but will not be important for job searches.  You will have the option of registering for either Full Time Employment/On Campus Recruiting or Co-op.  Please be sure to select Full Time Employment/On Campus Recruiting.  Once you have saved your information you can go back and edit it at any time.

Uploading Resumes And Cover Letters

On the top navigation bar drag the cursor to ‘Documents’ and select ‘Upload A Document’.   You will see four different choices of documents to upload.  Select which one you are uploading and this will allow you to browse your files for resumes, cover letters, etc.   You can’t edit documents online on erecruiting.  If you have more than one version of your resume you may want to upload all of them, labeling them in a manner easy to distinguish.  You will be able to select which version you would like sent to each employer during the application process.

Applying For Jobs

There are several job search options.  In the box marked Jobs and Internships it is important that there is a check next to ‘Show only jobs from my Career Center’.  Any job posted by Suffolk University will have a small blue pennant next to it.  All other jobs are part of the shared Experience.com network.  If you find a job you are interested in applying for, scroll to the bottom of the page and you will find application instructions. Although we don’t have information about or responsibility for jobs posted by outside sources, you are welcome to apply for them.

On- Campus Recruiting- for SSOM and CAS students

If you are currently a Senior or are in your final year of Graduate School, you are eligible for participation in on-campus recruiting (sorry, no Law School students).  Under ‘One Click Job Searches’ select ‘Jobs With Upcoming Interview Schedules’.  If you see a position you are interested in, apply the same way you would for any other position.  Your application will be stored in the system until the application deadline date.  At this time they are automatically bundled and emailed to the employer for review.  The employer must send you an email letting you know whether you have been ‘accepted’ or ‘declined’ for an interview.  If you are accepted you will have automatic access to the interview schedule where you can choose a time slot.

Other Uses

The ‘Calendar’ section lists upcoming events on and off campus.

Feel free to browse the system.  If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call the office at 617-573-8480.

Registering with eRecruiting will also give you access to the VAULT Career Library, a wonderful resource with information on career paths, major employers, job descriptions and other career information.
