To Bring Or Not To Bring...

Here is a list of suggested items you may want to bring with you when you move into university housing. We strongly encourage you to speak with your roommate(s) about what each of you will or will not bring.

Please note the list at the bottom--these are items, which are not permitted in the residence hall. Please do not bring them with you.

Recommended Residence Hall Items

• Towels, sheets, blanket, pillow, Personal toiletries
• Shower shoes
• Desk lamp
• Clock radio
• Stereo, tv, vcr, etc.
• Stationary items (pens, pencils, etc.)
• Flashlight
• (Metal) wastebasket
• Power strip
• Hangers
• Laundry supplies
• Cleaning supplies
• "Long-Mask Masking Tape" (or painters tape - doesn’t rip the paint!!!)
• Refrigerator or small microwave
• Cups, plates, "silverware", etc.
• Computer, printer, etc.
• Telephone

Items which are not permitted in the residence hall

• Coffee pots/makers - Electric heaters
• Any cooking appliance (except small microwave)
• Candles - Incense
• Pets (including fish)
• Alcohol (including "decorative" containers)
• Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia
• Halogen lamps (including desk lamps)
• Firearms, including mace and pepper spray
