The Performing Arts Office is a non-academic department housed in the Student Services division of Suffolk University. Our mission is to provide opportunities for all members of the Suffolk community - regardless of their major, background, or experience - to participate in the performing arts. We advise and support a number of student performing arts groups; produce five annual main stage productions; host regular community-building events, like discount tickets to area arts events, and more. Our office is founded on the belief that the performing arts are a great way to build community, explore your creativity, develop new skills, enrich your education, make friends, and have fun. The idea that the arts have something to offer everyone - novice to expert, performer, techie, designer, audience member - is at the heart of what we do in the Performing Arts Office. Play your part. The performance opportunities offered by the Performing Arts Office are as varied as the Suffolk student body. The current programs include:
Student Groups Suffolk University Dance Company, Suffolk University Jazz Ensemble, The Ramifications A Cappella Group, Seriously Bent Improv Comedy Troupe, Rhythm Contemporary Music Group, Wicked! Hip Hop Dance Crew, Techies Union, Rampage! Show Choir, Bhangra Indian Dance Group, Suffolk University Step Team, and The Voices of Zion Gospel Choir.
