The Suffolk University Peer-Health Educators and the Wellness Services staff are available to speak in classrooms and at student group meetings.

Please note:  Availability is on a first-come first-serve basis.  If we do not have any open spots for your requested day or time we will work with you to find an alternate time.

Program and tabling requests must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the engagement for the already created programs listed below.  For new program creation a 4 week lead time must be arranged.

Brain Power Trial Mix: Students create their own trail mix, choosing from a variety of nutritious ingredients; all of which are brain foods. Information on WHY these foods are good for you and a take home trail mix is included with this program. Excellent program around Finals week.
Build a lunch program: Students are invited to build their own lunch, which then gets assessed based upon serving sizes, nutritional values, and suggestions for healthier options.
Tabling: Condom-grams: A passive but interactive program promoting safe sex. Needs a few hours of commitment. A table is set up for students to come get condoms and pick out Halloween or valentine cards to give to other students, along with sexual health information.
Tabling: Love your body: This program promotes positive body image. Students are invited to write a positive message about their own bodies on human shaped cutouts which are then hung up around campus. Can be a passive program, good for tabling.
Tabling: Safe spring break: Students learn about the dangers of binge drinking and alcohol dependence in a fun and interactive way. A variation of Pour for your Peers is used during this program. 
Green Spring Cleaning: Students learn about the hazards of using every day cleaning products that contain harmful chemicals. Let the SUPERs show you alternative methods, which includes making your own all-purpose eco-friendly cleaner to take home!
Hook Ups, Booty Calls & One Night Stands: This program covers a variety of topics such as new slang words, consent, how most college students date, boundaries, abstinence and protection.
Safe Sex Jeopardy: An interactive game in jeopardy style, questions focused on sexual health. Level 1 & 2! This program needs an area with a lot of space, a computer and a projector.
Safe Cosmetics and Sleep Masks: This program educates students on ingredients and a potential toxin found in everyday cosmetics, and shows how you can make your own alternatives (like face masks) with healthy, natural products.
Pour For Your Peers: An interactive program in which students learn how about alcohol and how to safely use alcohol if they are going to drink.  Students poor drinks and learn what a standard drink really looks like.
CHOICES: This class isn’t only for mandated students!  The peer educators or wellness office can visit a group of students to walk them through some interactive journaling in relation to alcohol us, life goals and the intersection between the two
How to get A’s by Getting Zz’s!: (Usually co-sponsored with Balotti Learning Center) This program focuses on the importance of a good night’s sleep and how it can affect academic performance. Tips for getting a good night sleep are provided; students get to make their own sleep masks.
Stress Reduction Presentations: In addition to the sleep and stress programming happening at the beginning of the semester the SUPERs are always available to present just on stress and how students can manage their stress through meditation and other relaxation techniques
You Are What you Eat: This interactive program is designed to educate students on the importance of food & nutrition. Eating a balanced diet, reading food labels, choosing healthy options while eating out, & examples of quick healthy recipes are some of the topics covered in this program.
