Unity Week 2012: February 27th - March 2nd

Unity Week is Suffolk University’s annual celebration of diversity and community. It is a collaborative effort by students, faculty, and administrators and has traditionally consisted of entertainment, speakers, dialogues, open classes, food, and music. These efforts not only recognize the diversity represented within the University, but affirms the value and vitality that this pluralism brings to our individual and collective experience.

Unity Week Goals

•   Provide a concentrated opportunity to share differing perspectives and cultures.

•   Engage students, faculty and staff from different backgrounds in a creative and collaborative planning process.

•   Reaffirm that education includes learning about the contributions of different cultures and the oppression of some cultures as a means to see the interdependence and relationship different groups.

•   Celebrate the diversity represented by our campus community.
