David Reeder is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Journalism at Suffolk University. He teaches digital filmmaking and video production courses, including a new course in Digital Post-Production. He is a native of Southern California and has worked as a cameraman on over 25 feature films such as "Driving Miss Daisy," "Fried Green Tomatoes," "Ace Ventura 2-When Nature Calls" and "RoboCop III." Prior to joining Suffolk University, he taught film and media studies in Los Angeles, Atlanta and Boston.

Research Interests

  • Evolution of story in the digital age
  • Camera culture, including the technological advancement of image acquisition and media delivery systems and their impact on the narrative
