Teaching Philosophy

I enjoy the process of learning, the thrill of being presented with new problems, experimenting to find solutions, conquering new challenges, celebrating accomplishments. As well I enjoy the structure of learning -- being given the freedom to discover my own way while at the same time being guided, the give-and-take between mentor and apprentice, the luxury of time dedicated to exploring new concepts, talents, and abilities. This is precisely my approach to teaching -- giving each student the freedom to find his/her own way while at the same time imparting the rigors of classic design elements, ultimately guiding each student to surpass his/her own limit.
