I was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Los Angeles. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Guam before coming to Suffolk University. I’m currently working with Sue on a project that explores the role of experiential avoidance in GAD. After I get my Ph.D., I hope to return to the University of Guam to teach and conduct research. In my free time, I enjoy playing kendo, watching Japanese anime (otaku generation all the way!!!), and spending time in Guam with my family and my two dogs, Brandy and Porky.
My research interests are in the area of acceptance and mindfulness-based behavior therapy, GAD, and cultural/cross-cultural psychology. I am particularly interested in developing, adapting, and validating treatments for different cultural groups.
