I was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Los Angeles. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Guam before coming to Suffolk University.

 

My research interests are in the processes and mechanisms of psychotherapy. I want to know what makes treatment work. This is driven by a desire to contribute to the growing body of knowledge aimed at “supercharging” psychological treatments by making them more efficacious, effective, accessible, and culturally responsive. Inherent in these endeavors is my interest in experimental psychopathology; that is, my desire to explore the functional nature of psychopathological processes relevant to the etiology and maintenance of psychological disorders that could be targeted in treatment.
