After completing my bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado, I worked for several years in Denver’s community mental healthcare system. Upon moving to Boston, I began work on my Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Suffolk University. My interest in behavior therapy and mindfulness based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy led me to Dr. Orsillo’s lab, where I am involved in several research projects. My primary study involves the evaluation of the base concept of mindfulness as a treatment, or a component of treatment, for individuals with alcohol use disorders.

My clinical interests lie in the areas of severe psychopathology, integrated models of dual-diagnosis (mental illness and substance abuse) treatment, and indigent and underserved populations. I also have a strong interest in behavioral healthcare policy, specifically evidence based practice implementation.
