During the fall 2004 semester, The College of Arts and Sciences formed a committee to establish a pilot to evaluate undergraduate written communication and critical thinking skills.  The committee established three goals:

• To develop a rubric to access student writing and critical thinking skills,
• To develop a process for assessing the old and new College of Arts and Sciences curriculum, and
• To create a culture of assessment at Suffolk University.
