The program consists of a 36-credit program, of which all courses are required to meet Massachusetts licensure requirements for school counselors (grades 5-12).  Syllabi are provided below for descriptive purposes only, and are subject to change.

This coursework will prepare you for an initial license to practice school counseling.  To achieve the professional-level license to practice school counseling, you will need to obtain a total of 60 graduate credits (including your M.Ed).  Therefore, some students opt to pursue more than 36 credits while attending Suffolk’s M.Ed program.
