Judge Thomas Buergenthal, International Court of Justice, Brandeis
Judge Buergenthal, who was raised in Poland and survived the concentration camps at Auschwitz, has served as president of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and on the United Nations’ Human Rights Committee. He is currently a judge on the International Court of Justice in the Hague. Also participating will be members of the Center’s International Advisory Board, which includes Theodore C. Sorensen, Richard Goldstone, Hans Corell, Kerry Kennedy, and others. This keynote address is the centerpiece of the Ethics Center’s 10th Anniversary Celebration.
