• Joint M.Ed. School Counseling / College Admission Counseling Certificate

We offer our M.Ed. in School Counseling students an opportunity to combine the Post-Master’s Certificate in College Admission Counseling with the Master’s degree in a 48 credit program of study.  In addition to completing the requirements of the M.Ed. program, students also need to complete the following courses:

  • EHS 747  College Admission Counseling Fundamentals
  • EHS 748  Fieldwork: College Visits
  • EHS 749  Access and Equity in Higher Education
  • one approved elective from the Certificate program list of courses

The combined M.Ed. in School Counseling / Certificate in College Admission Counseling program is a natural extension of our M.Ed. in School Counseling, which prepares students for initial licensure as School Guidance Counselors for students in grades 5-12 in the State of Massachusetts.  The combined 48 credit program of study can be completed in two years, which is the same amount of time the M.Ed. by itself requires.
