American Chemical Society Student Affiliates

The Suffolk University student affiliate chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) invites Suffolk students with an interest in its activities to associate with the chapter and participate actively. Student affiliate membership in the national ACS organization is encouraged, and is required of officers, but is not required for affiliation with the Suffolk University chapter.

Our chapter has won numerous national awards and grants for its programs, which have recently included lectures (some topics were Cape Wind, green chemistry, and the environmental aspects of meat and vegetarian diet), service projects (toys for Katrina victims, a chemistry magic show for high school students, National Chemistry Week events for younger students), social events, and trips to the ACS national meetings to receive awards for chapter performance and for green chemistry activities.
