The Engineering department provides undergraduate students the knowledge and skills neccessary to contribute:
1.Proficiency in mathematics, science, electrical engineering fundamentals, and computer engineering fundamentals so that the student is prepared for both work and graduate school;
2.Ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data;
3.An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs;
4.Ability to work as both an individual and in a team on electrical engineering or multi-disciplinary projects;
5.Ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems;
6.Ability to participate in discussions involving ethical, contemporary and social issues relating to the impact of engineering on society;
7.Ability to communicate effectively;
8.Broad education to understand the impact of engineering solutions on society;
9.A recognition of the need for, and the ability to engage in life long learning;
10.Knowledge of contemporary issues; and
11.Ability to use software simulation and computation packages, and basic laboratory instrumentation.
