Venture

Venture Magazine is Suffolk's annual student publication that strives to showcase the University's talented writers and artists. Dr. Fred Marchant and Dr. Quentin Miller are Venture's faculty advisors.

Submissions

Venture welcomes contributions from all members of the Suffolk community. Those interested in having their work considered for publication are encouraged to submit for upcoming issues. Venture Magazine welcomes submissions including, but certainly not limited to:

  • Poetry
  • Short fiction
  • Personal essays
  • Short plays
  • Drawings
  • Photos (black and white/color)
  • Artwork

We at Venture always welcome and encourage new suggestions and other creative inspirations.

All work must be submitted in the form of a hard copy and also some form of digital media (CD, floppy disk, email attachment, PDF file, etc.) and must be accompanied by the writer/artist's mailing address, email address and phone number. Anonymous submissions will be considered for publication, but must be accompanied by contact information for editorial purposes only. Please note that submissions will not be returned unless accompanied by a S.A.S.E.

Salamander

Salamander is a journal for poetry, fiction, and memoirs. Salamander combines the best new work by writers now reaching artistic maturity with exciting new work by established writers. Salamander’s editor is Professor Jennifer Barber; it is published in November and April.
