Suffolk U News anchors

There is nothing better for budding broadcast journalists than hands-on experience, and that is just what students in the Suffolk TV News course get. Each week they write and produce Suffolk U News, an entirely student-run news show.

The students who contribute to the broadcasts work on a rotating series of jobs as reporters, writers, directors, editors, producers, and camera crew. The show is broadcast to the Suffolk community online each week.

The Suffolk U News shows are excellent preparation for the pressure-cooker world of broadcast news, and the professionals agree. In 2012, Suffolk U News earned accolades for Top Student Newscast and Best Feature News Reporting from the Associated Press and the Radio Television Digital News Association.
