Maybe you’re a campaign worker charting your career from one election cycle to the next—or maybe you aspire to hold elected office yourself. Perhaps you’re a human rights advocate who tackles controversial issues with conviction and purpose. Your dream job might be with a government agency, a special interest group, or a non-governmental organization. Whatever your goal, you can achieve it by making Suffolk your political headquarters.
Our campus is ideally located between the Massachusetts State House and Boston City Hall, and you’ll enjoy unparalleled access to the halls of government and the legislators, policy makers, and others who work there. You’ll learn from—and make valuable professional connections through—our renowned faculty of scholars and practitioners. Your campaign to become a change agent starts here.
With two distinct concentrations--International Relations and Professional Politics--for specialized training, our master’s program in Political Science (MSPS) will help you get there.
We also offer a dual master's degree with the Sawyer Business School. The Political Science/Public Administration dual degree (MSPS/MPA) will allow you to expand your political knowledge while concurrently refining your administrative skills.
A certificate of advanced graduate study in Professional Politics is also available, and is ideal for those with a postgraduate degree who wish to pursue or enhance a political career.
