Internships Launch Careers

Academic and non-credit internships are available. Both the History Department and the Career Development Center can help you find an internship. Recent placements include the Bostonian Society, Boston National Historical Park, Massachusetts State Archives, Paul Revere House, Office of the Governor of Massachusetts, and the National Geographic Society, to name a few.

Careers

History students develop skills in logical reasoning, research, compiling evidence, and written and oral expression. Broadly educated graduates with these skills are well-positioned for careers in law, business, teaching, public service, and media.

Some of our recent graduates are working at the Massachusetts State House, Freedom Trail Foundation, Boston Children’s Museum, and Boston City Hall. Others have earned advanced degrees in business, law, history, and other fields.
