The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) was enacted to give students access to their education records and to protect their privacy. Unless a student is legally dependent, the University is prohibited by FERPA from releasing student account information to a parent or guardian or other unauthorized third party without the student's consent.

Students who wish to grant access to an authorized individual to their Suffolk University student account must emailbursar@suffolk.edu. Please include your Suffolk University student ID number, your full name, the full name of the person you are giving access to and their relationship to you. If you wish to stop an individual from getting your Suffolk University student account information, please send an email to bursar@suffolk.edu.
