Thank you for your interest in the Conference Assistant (CA) position for the 2015 summer with the Department of Residence Life & Housing.

This website provides an overview of the CA position and the process to apply to become a CA. Please read materials closely and make sure to attend an information session for more information.

Overview of the CA Position
CAs are on-site liaisons between Suffolk University and summer conference participants. They serve as the initial point of contact for any person entering the residence halls. They are responsible for addressing the needs of summer guests. They help to create a friendly and helpful atmosphere by greeting and receiving conference guests and other visitors. These live-in, summer positions will challenge CAs’ abilities and allow development of valuable skills in communication and organization. Although weekly schedules may vary, CAs will work approximately 15 hours per week in addition to participating in the on-call rotation (approximately 1 night per week). Overview of the CA Application Process
Residence Life & Housing believes that the CA position is one of the most crucial student leadership positions within the University. Because of this, we ask that students complete a rigorous application process that includes submitting required materials and a group and individual interview.

Applications will be available via SU Connect beginning on Friday, January 30, 2015 and will be due on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 by 5:00pm. The SU Connect application is available on the Residence Life & Housing (Department of) organization page under "Forms." This application includes essay questions and you must attach a cover letter and resume. Only electronic submissions via SU Connect will be accepted. Applicants must also submit two recommendation forms and at least one form must be from a Suffolk faculty member or administrator. Applicants are required to attend an info session. Returning CA applicants are not required to submit recommendations or attend an info session. Please see below for a complete list of info session dates, times and locations.
