  • If an application is withdrawn by the Tuesday before the examination, a portion of the $625 application fee will be refunded, but no portion of any other fees, will be refunded. (Total Refund: $312.50).

  • Initial Deadline for filing application, authorization and release form, and $450 fee. If all three items are not submitted by this date, a $200 late fee will be assessed. Deadline for receipt of forms necessary to support a request for special testing accommodations: Thur., May 1, 2014
  • Final Deadline for filing application and $650 fee: Mon., June 2, 2014
  • Deadline for receipt of MBE scores transferred from other jurisdictions and proof of bar exam passage: Fri., June 13, 2014
  • Deadline for withdrawing with $150 refund. Request must be in writing, signed and dated: Tues., July 1, 2014
  • MANDATORY Examination Registration 1:00-4:00 PM An orientation program will be conducted at 4:00 PM: July 28, 2014

Wyoming

Location: Laramie, WY

Dates: July 29 & 30, 2014

*Documents required for admission:

  • application for admission to Wyoming State Bar (must be notarized)
  • $600 check or money order- payable to clerk of Wyoming Supreme court
  • original certificate of good standing
  • NCBE request for preparation of a character report
  • Dean's certification
    • optional document
      • request form for non-standard testing accommodations
      • *NOTE: 
        • Copies and faxes of official or notarized documents (Certificate of Good Standing, Dean's Certificate, etc.) are not acceptable. 
        • The Wyoming application and a copy of the NCBE application must be filed together with the Clerk of the Wyoming Supreme Court. If either document is missing, your application is incomplete and will not be processed.

*Basic requirements for admission by exam:

  • A score of 270 or higher on the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) 
  • A scaled score of 85 or higher on the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) (must be received up to three years before or one month after taking the UBE in Wyoming)
  • Good moral character and fitness to practice law
  • J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
    • PLEASE NOTE: There are no provisions for foreign-educated applicants.

*Filing deadlines & Fees

  • The deadline for the July exam is April 15th (with the exception of the Dean’s Certificate*).
    • Fee: non-refundable $600
    • There is no late filing deadline.
    • There is also a non-refundable fee to ExamSoft if you choose to take the written portion of the exam on your laptop.
    • Dean’s Certificate should be sent after your graduation to confirm that you have received a JD. Dean’s Certificates must be received by June 15th for the July exam.
