At Suffolk University Madrid Campus, all students are required to have full health insurance coverage during their stay in Spain. In many cases, the Spanish Consulate requires proof of medical/accident insurance before granting a Spanish Student Visa.

We provide this required comprehensive medical and accident insurance coverage for our students through a local Spanish company, Sanitas. All students will be charged the Mandatory Health Insurance Fee.

Sanitas Multi allows you to choose among 20,000 doctors and 420 health centers and go directly to the specialist most suited to your needs. You will be able to choose freely the medical professional who best suits your needs, be it your general practitioner or a specialist from its extensive network of medical professionals.

Sanitas may not cover pre-existing conditions. If you have a pre-existing condition, you need to provide evidence that you will be covered by some other health insurance while in Spain. In such cases, Suffolk University won't have any responsibility in any case related to the students' health and the insurance coverage, as it is an obligation of the student to provide accurate information.
