Admission Procedure

To apply for study abroad at the Suffolk University Madrid Campus, print and mail us your application. If it does not open, you may need to download the Adobe Acrobat Reader. It will only take a few minutes.

You will also need to submit the following additional application materials:

  • An official college transcript
  • An essay (in English) which explains why you wish to study in Madrid
  • One letter of recommendation (on stationery that contains your university letterhead). Suffolk students do not need to submit this. 
  • Application fee: US Student or Non-US Student. Suffolk students do not need to submit this. 
  • List of courses planning to take during term in Spain (Approved by your home institution and/or Government Agency funding your studies)

Study Abroad applicants are required a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 to join the Suffolk University Madrid Campus Study Abroad Program.

In addition to all documents required by Suffolk University, all students with a non-European Union passport must request a student visa from the Spanish authorities.  For more information on how to obtain a student visa, please contact the Spanish Consulate closest to your permanent residence (only required for stays longer than 90 days).

Admission is on a rolling basis, so applicants will be notified of their acceptance shortly after all the application materials have been received at the Madrid Campus.
