Suffolk University Madrid Campus is pleased to kick off each semester with an off-site, four day trip that takes students to explore an exciting area of Spain outside of Madrid (Salamanca, Fall 2009; Seville, Spring 2010). During our trip, students get an opportunity to get to know both new and continuing students better while also seeing different provinces and experiencing some Spanish cultural traditions, before the classes begin. SUMC Orientation consists of:

Three days in Madrid, with

• Intensive survival Spanish workshops
• Academic orientation
• Cultural, logistical and social information

Four days outside of Madrid, with

• Visits to cortijos, fincas, cathedrals, mosques and synagogues
• Local customs in music, dance, painting, cuisine and more
• Free-time to explore for yourself
