Fine Arts
Because You Know What You Want
In the undergraduate Fine Arts Program (BFA) at Suffolk University, you'll discover the importance of art in culture and society while developing your own studio practice. In the first year of your Fine Arts specific coursework, you'll build a solid background in current and traditional visual precedents. From there you'll expand upon the type of art you create and the way you think about that work and investigate how to place your vision within the context of contemporary art movements. The small size of our Fine Arts program allows you to work individually with faculty, who will challenge you to develop a visual language integral to the changes occurring around you. And in your junior- and senior-level seminars you'll gain exposure to local galleries and museums and begin to immerse yourself in the Boston arts community.
