A partner at Daly & Daly, inc. and seasoned design professional who has created comprehensive projects for such clients as the Citicorp Real Estate, Sonesta Hotels International, and YMCA of Greater Boston, Professor Daly has taught at The School of Art & Design since 1998. “I think it’s a wonderful school,” she says, citing such interdisciplinary efforts as her environmental signage and packaging course, in which graphic design and interior design students will collaborate on three-dimensional projects. “I find that the dividing line between the fields is blurring,” Professor Daly says, “and these students can learn from one another and be better prepared for the workplace.

“Technology has had an incredible impact on graphic design, and [The School of Art & Design] embraces that change while keeping a hold on the basics that make up the foundation of how we teach design,” she says.

As she develops the graduate graphic design curriculum to reflect her changing field, Professor Daly keeps her students’ needs in mind. “When we as teachers have the ability to mold the program to fit our students’ diverse goals and help them become the designers they want to be, that’s golden.”
