Overview
The Pre-Graduate Summer Program is a 10-week intensive program designed to prepare you for fall admission to the Master of Arts in Interior Design or Master of Arts in Graphic Design at the School of Art & Design at Suffolk University. More Information
Upon successful completion of the program, you'll be accepted into the master's program for the fall semester. However, for the duration of the summer program you will have a Continuing Education student status. You must pass all four courses with a combined GPA of 3.0 and no grade below a B- in order to be accepted into the Master of Arts in Interior Design or Master of Arts in Graphic Design program. If you are denied admission to the master's program you may take courses as a Continuing Education student and reapply the following semester.
Eligibility
Admission to the Pre-Graduate Program is based on an applicant's undergraduate performance, work experience, essay and letters of recommendation. Students seeking admission to the Pre-Graduate Summer Program and the Master of Arts in Interior Design or Graphic Design are not required to submit GRE test scores.
Those who do not have a portfolio, but who are otherwise well-qualified academically and who wish to apply for admission to the Master of Arts in Interior Design or Master of Arts in Graphic Design for the fall 2012 semester are eligible for the Pre-Graduate Program.
International students are encouraged to apply. If students do not successfully complete the Pre-Grad program the I-20 will be cancelled.

Please Note: Applicants whose graduate application materials are incomplete (missing transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.) will not be considered for the program.
Admittance Notification from Suffolk University
Applicants will be informed of their admittance by the Office of Graduate Admission. Students enrolled in the Pre-Graduate Summer Program will maintain a non-matriculated student status during the course of the program, but will be conditionally admitted to into the Master of Arts in Interior Design or Master of Arts in Graphic Design for the fall 2012 semester. Those who successfully complete the program (by earning a B- or better in all courses) will be fully admitted for the fall 2012 semester.
Deadline for Program Acceptance from Applicant
Applicants who are admitted to the program must accept or decline admission no later than Friday, May 11. Please note that because the program requires a full-time, ten-week commitment, you are advised to make any arrangements (housing, child-care, work, etc.) in advance so that you are ready to begin the program on June 4th.
International applicants must accept or decline admission no later than Thursday, April 26.
Fees & Payment
Tuition and fees for the 2012 program is $5,825. All tuition and fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. Payment should be made through the School of Art & Design's Continuing Education office. There is no financial aid available for the program. Payment may be made by personal check, private loan or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).

Refund Procedures
Withdrawals must be received in writing by fax (617-994-4250), post, hand-delivered or email to vlane@suffolk.edu. Refund amounts will be calculated from the date notice of withdrawal is received.
