Studio Art Minor


Overview

In addition to the Bachelor of Fine Arts programs, the School of Art & Design offers an option for students to minor in Studio Art. To declare a Studio Art Minor you must obtain written approval from the School’s Chairman. A Studio Art Minor requires the completion of 18 studio credits, and you may elect one of three concentrations: Foundation Studies, Graphic Design or Fine Arts.  Students may take courses in any sequence approved by their assigned School of Art & Design advisor, provided they have met prerequisite requirements.

Please note: There is no Interior Design concentration.

Declare a Minor

To declare a minor in art, students must complete a "Change of Major / Minor" form and indicate the intended minor in the middle of the form. Completed forms must be signed by School of Art & Design Chairman, William Davis, and then processed through the Registrar's Office. Download a "Change of Major / Minor" form from OneSource. Once a minor has been declared students must meet with their assigned School of Art & Design advisor before registering for courses.
