The Ford Hall Forum at Suffolk University will present Pulitzer-Prize-winning journalist Anthony Lewis, from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the C. Walsh Theatre, 55 Temple St., Boston.
Floyd Abrams, America’s leading First Amendment lawyer, will serve as moderator.
The Forum will present its 31st Annual Louis P. and Evelyn Smith First Amendment Award to Lewis that evening.
Lewis, a New York Times journalist who has a legendary history of commitment to human rights and civil liberties marked by groundbreaking reporting throughout his career, won the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 1955 and 1963.
Lewis will discuss his career as a Nieman Scholar at Harvard, editor-in-chief for the New York Times London office, professor of journalism, and longtime "at home abroad" columnist for the Times.
