Eli Cedrone of Stoughton will spend the summer at Plimoth Plantation as the artist in residence.
Her studio will be a replica of a 17th century cottage where she will be painting the costumed "colonists," surrounding scenery and everyday life of the residents of the museum.
She will paint on location every Tuesday from June 22 through Aug. 24. Educational programs, lectures and art classes are planned.
Cedrone will continue her work through Thanksgiving.
Cedrone's paintings from her work at Plimoth Plantation will be displayed at the Addison Gallery in Orleans and Willoughby Fine Art in Edgartown.
Cedrone has a studio at the South Shore Office Park in Hingham.
A graduate of The School of Art & Design at Suffolk Univeristy, she studied art in Italy and at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Her professional career began as an art director at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in Bermuda, followed by work as an illustrator and fine artist in Laguna Beach, Calif.
