Chelsea Campellone scored 43 points in just 33 minutes against Lasell College on Saturday, January 23, the second-most points in a single-game in Suffolk's 40-year women's basketball history.
Her performance won her ECAC honors: She was named Corvias ECAC Division III Women's Basketball New England Player of the Week,
Campellone's 16-of-22 performance from the floor and 11-of-18 at the line accounted for more than half of the Rams' 85 points in the 85-63 victory over the Lasers.
The 5-foot-7 forward was two points shy of Suffolk's record of 45, set by Ellen Crotty (Pistorino) in 1987.

Campellone was named the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Hero of the Week by Hero Sports. Campellone beat out nine other players for the weekly honor, as voted on by fans at HeroSports.com. Campellone received 42 percent of the votes and had more than 160 more votes than the second-place finisher, as nearly 1,000 votes nationwide were submitted.
Campellone took home the award on the strength of her 43-point, 13-rebound performance in the 85-63 win over Lasell.
