Web Services will offer training for the Content Management System, Web Content Usability, Web Statistics, CampusCruiser, and Live Chat during special Summer Sessions during July and August. We’ll also be on hand to answer all your questions about CMS and the Web.
All sessions will be held in our offices on the 12th floor of the Sawyer Building.

Wednesday, August 6
Wednesday, August 20
2 pm to 4:30 pm
Like our regular Open House sessions, we invite you drop in with any web site questions to work one-to-one with a member of our team; who can answer your questions or refer you to other resources. It’s usually helpful if you have previously taken Author/Editor Training.
If you’re looking for more comprehensive training for the CMS (Author/Editor), Web Site Usability, or Campus Cruiser, We ask that you register ahead of time so we can reserve the necessary time and resources to meet your needs.
Attendance at this 2½ hour training session is required for access to the system. Attendees should download the Web Content Provider’s Guide and bring it to class. This manual is updated periodically.
Having information to put on the Web is one thing. Making that content available to the people who need it, and putting it in a form the can use is another matter. Before you attend, please download and read the Web Content Usability Guide.
Become familiar with all the tools and capabilities of the web portal. Learn to retrieve Suffolk email, create working groups, committees, to-do lists and tasks with priority assignments within a secure environment, organize your calendar(s) to include both personal calendar information as well as scheduled events.
Learn the basics about what Web statistics can and can’t tell you, and discover how to use Google Analytics to find the stats for your site or page.
Chat rooms offer an opportunity to communicate with others by simultaneously sharing information, in the form of text messages, with a group of other users. Find out if it’s the right technology for your communications or community-building activities.
