The Techies Union is a student run group created with two purposes:

1. Nurture, educate and grow both the number and abilities of student event technicians and designers in the Suffolk Community

2. Be a resource for any Suffolk event looking for technicians and designers

To this end, the Techies union run workshops, organize backstage tours and meet for weekly check ins for members. They also have staffed and consulted on many Suffolk events in capacities such as Stage manager, lighting designer and board op, sound design and board op, followspot operator, etc.
