Suffolk University utilizes a unified access control for its network security system called Network Access Control or NAC to prevent infected computers from accessing the university network and infecting other computers. This ensures a safe, secure and reliable network for all. NAC helps prevent outbreaks of viruses and worms by proactively scanning your computer for certain OS patches and anti-virus software requirements as defined by the University Endpoint security Policy. NAC offers a remediation portal to bring a computer that does not meet these requirements into compliance.
In order for any computer to gain full access to the university network, including access to the Internet, you must install the Host Checker and meet the endpoint security policy requirements of the University.
