Health Services

Health Services serves all Suffolk University students. We’re here to help you achieve and maintain optimum health and wellness. We strive to provide high-quality, easily accessible cost-effective health care. We work collaboratively with the Counseling Center to help you function more effectively in the University environment. We’re committed to working with you to help you build the knowledge and skills you need to develop healthy attitudes and behaviors that will promote a high-level of overall wellness.        



Availability of Services

Our services are available to any Suffolk University student (who is currently registered for classes) and who is not a full time Suffolk University employee. We operate much like any clinic or primary care office (if you have the school health insurance plan we ARE your primary care provider). The main differences are: 1) we do NOT charge you a co-payment; 2) we offer urgent care walk-in hours daily for urgent medical conditions.  Our services include:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of episodic illnesses
  • Evaluation and treatment of injuries
  • Gynecological care
  • Contraceptive management and counseling
  • Diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections
  • Health and wellness counseling
  • Administration of immunizations and vaccines
  • Flu shot clinic
  • Information and consultation with a Health Educator on a variety of topics 

School Year Hours

We keep two types of office hours for non-emergencies during the Spring and Fall Semesters (September through May): Appointments and Urgent Care Walk-in. 

Appointments:  Monday - Thursday 8 am-6 pm,   Friday 9 am -5 pm.
Urgent Care Walk In:  Monday - Friday 10 am-12 pm & 2 pm - 4 pm
Immunizations:  Please call to make an appointment

Summer Hours and School Vacations:

Appointments:  Monday – Friday  9 am – 5 pm
Urgent Care Walk-In:  Monday - Friday 10 am-12 pm & 2 pm - 4 pm or Call to make an appointment

Confidentiality:

All visits to Health Services and conversations with the staff are confidential. Your permission must be obtained before we will give information to anyone not directly related to your care. This includes parents and University officials.
