Located on the 9th floor of the Rosalie K. Stahl Center, the Sawyer Library Student Commons provides a space for students to relax, study, and work as groups.
The Sawyer Library Commons is open from 9am-7pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 9am-5pm on Fridays during the academic session. The Sawyer Library Commons will be closed on all holidays recognized by the University. To check for any specific changes to the hours of the library or the student commons, visit http://suffolk.libguides.com/LibraryHours.
Ten laptops are available for checkout in the library commons office. Five of these laptops are HP Pro Book 6470b, and five are MacBooks. While there is no time limit for checking out the laptops, they may not be taken out of the Sawyer Library Commons.
The Sawyer Library Commons offers six desktop HP All in One 4300 computers for student use. Five of them are located in one of the study rooms, and the sixth is a standalone station located at the back of the group study area. The study room containing computers is not limited to use as a group study room. Individuals who would like to use an available computer may do so at any time. For that reason, refrain from closing the door to this room.
Two networked HP Laserjet M602 printers are tied to one release station, located around the corner from the last office. For instructions on connecting your personal laptop to these printers, follow the instructions located at: http://suffolk.libguides.com/9thfloorprinting.
The Sawyer Library Commons has three study rooms available for student use. Each room can accommodate as many as eight students. These rooms may be used on a first come, first serve basis. No reservation is necessary at this time. The conference room located within the Sawyer Library Commons is not available for student reservation.
