Retrieving Information from the Sawyer Library's Online Databases

Introduction

The Sawyer Library's online databases provide the user with options concerning information retrieval: reading the screen, printing, and/or e-mailing information. An effective approach is to first understand the results of the search and which information retrieval options are available.

You have conducted a search using the Sawyer Library's online databases, and you review the list of the retrieved citations. Although the format of the search results differs from database to database, the information content presented is usually the same. The example we will use is from EBSCO's Academic Search Premier.

The Search

We will conduct a search for articles about Internet usage.
