| Summary | Martha Sosman was a justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court from 2000 until her death in 2007. Prior to her appointment she had worked in private practice and in the US Attorney's Office, serving as chief of the Civil Division of the US Attorney's Office in Boston from 1986 until 1989. Her appointment to the Supreme Judicial Court marked the first time the court had a majority of women justices. Justice Sosman died on March 12, 2007. |
