David J. Sargent Hall is a magnificent seven-story building, designed by Tsoi/Kobus Associates; it is also Suffolk University’s newest construction. In 1999 it was named for Suffolk University President David J. Sargent, Suffolk Law School Alumnus, former Dean, and Professor of Law.
Located at 120 Tremont Street, it is the home of Suffolk University Law School and the Adams Gallery.
Sargent Hall’s grand facade and interior are matched by the impressive resources inside, available exclusively to faculty and students. These include the Moakley Law Library and a networked media system that facilitates the exchange of information using the latest in classroom technology.
In addition to being a leader in both design and technology, Sargent Hall is situated in a historic location—past site of the home of famed American Jurist Oliver Wendell Holmes. In addition, the building is located across from Boston’s historic Granary Burying Ground, the final resting-place for such luminaries as John Hancock, Samuel Adams, victims of the Boston Massacre and Mother Goose.
