Creating an Inclusive Community Series

Faculty and staff are invited to dialogue regarding topics that are pertinent the larger discussion on diversity and inclusion.
As a community, attendees are asked to lend their voice to the conversation on how to ensure the environment has reduced bias behaviors and more opened opportunities for connection and inclusion. Events are open to all. Events take place in the Poetry Center in 73 Tremont from 12:15PM to 1:15PM.

September - Understanding Religious Diversity: Examining Our Differences and Similarities, presented by Rev. Amy Fisher
November - How To Mindfully Handle Microaggressions, presented by Cherina Wright, Director for Student Engagement and Inclusion at the Law School and Managing Our Own Biases: How Bias Impacts Behavior and Decision-Making, presented by Joyya Smith, Vice President, Diversity, Access, and Inclusion.
December – A Philosophical Exploration of the Value of Diversity, presented by Patrick Shin, Associate Dean of Suffolk Law School.
February 14, 2019 – Celebrate Diversity Day – Cookie Decorating Event
March 18, 2019 – An examination of implicit bias, presented by Jennifer Blakely
April 5, 2019 – Inclusive Leadership, presented by Joyya Smith, Vice President Diversity, Access, and Inclusion
