Do you have big business ideas? Are you passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation?
Then sign up for a contest with the Sawyer Business School’s Center for Entrepreneurship. The Center is hosting a week of competitions in celebration of national entrepreneurship month in November.
Pitch Your Ideas at the Trade Show
On November 19, you have the chance to pitch your business ideas to those who matter most—potential angel investors who can give you the funding you need to get your ideas off the ground.
The Entrepreneurship Trade Show, open to all undergraduate and graduate students, will take place in the Sawyer Café from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
All Suffolk students, faculty, and alumni are invited to attend and vote for their favorite ideas. It’s also a chance to network and meet our angel investors: James D. Tollman, managing partner of Tollman Capital Partners, founder and CEO of a hospitalist firm, and an angel investor in many diverse ventures; and Roman Wunderlich (BSBA '10), founder of the investment fund Legion Holdings.
Need help creating the perfect pitch? No problem. The Suffolk Ventures alumni group is hosting the Ideal Pitch Workshop on November 18 at 1-5 p.m. in the Entrepreneurship Resource Center (4th floor of the Sawyer Building).
Square off Against Your Professors
Sign up for Entrepreneurship-Trivia on November 20.
Hosted by the Suffolk Ventures alumni group, entrepreneurship students will go head-to-head against faculty.
In teams of 4-6, you’ll answer questions about anything from famous innovators and booming startups to the latest music and movies. And you’ll also meet successful alumni who were in your shoes not too long ago.
Trivia starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Red Hat (9 Bowdoin Street).
Win a Cash Prize for Your Twitter Pitch
With a single tweet, you could win $500.
The Twitch Competition on November 21 awards the best product pitch delivered via Twitter. One week before the competition, @SuffolkENT will announce the product, giving you plenty of time to perfect your tweet.
The competition is open to all Suffolk students. To sign up, contact Janelle Shoup at (617) 305-1984 or visit the Entrepreneurship Resource Center.
The competition will take place at 7:30 p.m. on the 9th floor of 73 Tremont.
