Biography

For 25 years, Dr. James Angelini was the Director of the Master of Science in Taxation Program at the Sawyer Business School. He has been Chair of the Accounting Department and served on numerous SBS committees. Dr. Angelini helped the Accounting Department obtain initial separate accounting accreditation with AACSB, which is held by only 189 accounting programs in the world. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in taxation.

Dr. Angelini’s area of expertise is taxation and he is a CPA in Massachusetts with over 48 years of public accounting experience. As a tenured professor with current practical experience, he contributes to the experiential goals of the Taxation program. He has published numerous articles on various topics in federal and state taxation, with an emphasis on tax policy. Dr. Angelini is also a consultant to the Beacon Hill Institute on various tax policy studies. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he has served on various committees.
