That’s why our MS in Business Analytics program gives you the training, tools, and experience you need to hit the ground running and succeed in this booming sector. Whether you’re an engineer, computer programmer, or other high-tech professional – or you’re looking to round out your business or financial experience with increased technical analytics skills – our balanced approach towards business analytics and data management will help you advance your career.

Through our comprehensive MSBA program, you’ll study analytics through a business context and learn how to manage and create projections with stored data sets. You’ll graduate ready to make high-level, data-driven determinations across a wide range of industries, as well as communicate analytic information to non-technical business leaders and stakeholders.

MSBA Program Overview

The Curriculum

Our curriculum is industry-designed, ensuring our program is ahead of the curve. Through experiential courses, you’ll learn how to gather, manage, and prepare data —the foundation for making analytics-driven decisions to solve business problems and create opportunities for a wide range of industries. You’ll also take courses in Python, Excel, and Systems Applications Products (SAP), helping prepare you for additional professional certifications.

In as few as 9 months (full-time) or 21 months (part-time), our graduates go on to pursue rewarding and successful careers in the information technology, financial services, healthcare, and marketing fields. And the Suffolk MSBA program is STEM-designated, qualifying international students for an additional two years of OPT work in the United States.

Application Deadlines

  • Fall Semester: June 15 (International Applicants), August 15 (Domestic Applicants), then rolling; Submit your completed application by July 1 for Sawyer Business School Fellowship Employment consideration
  • Spring Semester: December 1 (International Applicants), January 4 (Domestic Applicants), then rolling; Submit your completed application by November 1 for Sawyer Business School Fellowship Employment consideration

  • Unofficial transcripts of all post-secondary work. Admitted students enrolling in the program will need to have official transcripts, including proof of degree conferral, on file prior to their first class

  • Official TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE-Academic Scores (international students only)

Note: Students must have passed a university-level statistics course in the past 5 years (B or better), have equivalent industry experience, or have an undergraduate or graduate degree in natural science (biology, chemistry, physics), engineering, math, business, computer and information sciences, finance, marketing, or social and behavioral sciences (psychology, economics, sociology and political science). GMAT or GRE scores are recommended for applicants not meeting this criteria.

Financial Aid for Graduate Study

Suffolk University is pleased to offer both merit- and need-based financial aid to graduate students—these awards can be up to $20,000 per academic year. Merit-based aid is awarded based on the applicant's academic credentials presented on the admission application. No separate application is required for merit consideration.
