Tucker is a Manager in PwC's Financial Services Advisory practice focused on helping clients navigate through strategic projects, and maximize value. Tucker specializes in mergers and acquisitions and large scale transformation initiatives - helping clients from strategy through execution. Tucker has been nominated to be one of four co-leads for the PwC US Advisory National Staff Council for FY '15 and FY '16. The 40 person council made up of staff from around the United States works with the US Advisory Leadership Team to provide feedback and recommendations on key firm initiatives/hot topics. He has also previously taught for 3 semesters at Suffolk University - Sawyer School of Business, and is now a member of the school's Young Alumni Advisory Board and Employer Advisory Board. Tucker is an ambassador for One Young World, the preeminent global forum for young leaders aged 18-30 after attending the 2015 One Young World Summit in Bangkok. He is a Certified Public Accountant in MA and a summa cum laude graduate of both Suffolk University's undergraduate accounting and masters in taxation programs. Tucker is also the co-author of the book 'Fast Forward: What is your college degree worth?' which gives college students the tools they need to maximize their time and investment in school to find careers they are passionate about.
Jacob graduated from Suffolk University in 2010 with a BSBA in Accounting/Finance and in 2012 with a Masters in Tax and a Masters in Accounting. He has been working with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for 5 years in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations, which focuses on hedge funds, private equity and wealth managers. In his spare time, he spends all his money, time and mental capacity on New England Sports and sacrifices most of his possessions to sit in the stands, day in and day out.
Tyler Burke graduated from Suffolk in 2014 with a BSBA in Accounting with a minor in Spanish and graduated with an MSA in 2015 as part of the 4+1 program. On campus, Tyler served as a Trustee Ambassador to the admissions department, trip leader for the Alternative Spring Break program, and as a Graduate Writing Fellow to the accounting department. He now works full-time in the audit practice of KPMG, specializing in asset management.
John is currently an Advisor in the Real Estate Finance department at CVS Health. Prior to this, he started his career in the audit practice with KPMG LLP in January of 2013, working in the Asset Management industry. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2012, majoring in Accounting with a minor in Finance. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, he passed all four CPA exams and became a licensed CPA in Massachusetts as of May 2014. John joined YAAB in order to reach out to current students and give them more guidance about a career in accounting, and opportunities to help them make the most of their college experience.
Pam received her MSA/MST from Suffolk in 2012 and is currently Director of Accounting & HR Coordinator at The Grommet. Prior to joining The Grommet in 2013, she held positions in high net worth tax, non-profit audit, and private equity. Pam is a leftie who gets overly excited to meet another left, and is also a craft beer lover.
Meredith Fuller (McKenna)
After graduating from Suffolk University with her BSBA and MSA in Accounting, Meredith joined Ernst & Young in the Assurance practice. She spent six years working on a Fortune Top 10 audit client in the retail industry, as well as numerous small to mid-sized clients in the Retail and Software Industries. Meredith has recently started in at Sapient Global Markets focusing on Financial Reporting and Operations Management.
Levi Kedowide transferred from Suffolk University Dakar (Senegal) Campus to the Boston campus in 2011. He graduated with a BSBA in Accounting in 2014 and completed his Masters in Accounting in the spring of 2015. As a student, Levi was a scholar, tutor and study group leader at the Ballotti Learning Center (now CLAS) and as part of his graduate fellowship awarded by the Accounting department; he was a writing fellow. Levi is now an Audit Associate in the Financial Services practice at EY.
Dat graduated from Suffolk in 2012 with BSBA in Accounting / Finance and a Master’s of Science in Accounting in 2013. During his undergraduate / graduate tenure, Dat worked at Northwestern Mutual as an investments associate until he completed his MSA. Upon completion of his MSA, he started working for Deloitte & Touche in the audit practice. Dat currently is an Audit Senior at Deloitte and a proud member of the Young Alumni Advisory Board at Suffolk University.
Geronimo moved to the US when he was 10yrs old and lived in Lawrence, MA before moving to Boston to attend Suffolk. In 2006 he received his BSBA in Accounting from the university and then his MSA in 2008. Geronimo successfully got his CPA license in 2013. He currently works for Biogen Corporation in Cambridge, MA as a Manager of Internal Audit. Geronimo’s focus is on audits across the board (Financial, Operational, IT).
Andrew graduated from Suffolk with a BSBA in Accounting in 2013 and an MST in 2014. He currently is a second year tax consultant at Deloitte specializing in the hedge fund and private equity industries. In Andrew’s free time he volunteers in Lawrence with the Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity chapter.
Wanessa completed her MSA from Suffolk in 2015. She is currently Tax Staff 1 at EY. In this role she develops and delivers high-quality compliance and consulting services for a diverse clientele. As part of the Diversified Staff Group in Tax she is able to build experience on different groups such as Provisions, Partnerships, State and Local Taxes, etc.
Griffin Reilly grew up in Worcester, MA, and moved to Boston to attend Suffolk. Griffin graduated from Suffolk in 2013. He returned in the fall and graduated in 2014 with an MSA. He currently works at Deloitte as an audit associate.
As an undergraduate alum, Meena took advantage of Suffolk 4+1 program and completed her master’s in just one year. Today, she works at State Street, where she oversees the preparation and review of financial statements for alternative investments in hedge funds, private equity funds, and exchange funds. She received her BSBA in 2011 and her MST in December 2011 from Suffolk.
After receiving his MSA degree from Suffolk University, Brian joined Grant Thornton in the audit service line. Since joining the firm, he has been able to service public and private clients in several different industries ranging from manufacturing, insurance, real estate, hospitality, not-for-profit, and government. He has serviced clients in financial statement audits, initial public offerings, acquisitions, new accounting guidance implementation, and internal control compliance. He also serves as a Member on the Sawyer Business School Board.
Feizhen has been working for Ernst and Young for about a year in the financial services audit sector. At Suffolk University, she took the 5 year MSA program, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Last year Feizhen successfully passed all parts of the CPA exam and moved from Boston to NYC. She loves to travel, especially in Asia. The best decision she made in college was studying abroad in Hong Kong.
Blakeney received her Masters in Accounting from Suffolk in 2011 and became a Massachusetts licensed CPA in 2013. She is currently a manager with KPMG, serving public sector clients and specializing in audits of state and local governments. Blakeney joined YAAB to help support students in their learning and in discovering the many different ways they can combine their personal and professional interests to develop a rewarding and sustaining career.
Michelle McDonnell (Medeiros)
Michelle is a Tax Senior Associate in PwC's Mergers & Acquisitions group, assisting private equity and corporate clients with tax due diligence and structuring. Michelle graduated from Suffolk University's Sawyer Business School in 2012, earning a BS in Accounting and minor in Management. In 2013, Michelle completed the 4+1 program and earned a Master of Science in Tax. In addition to serving on YAAB, Michelle is also a member of Suffolk University's Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) board.
Michael Dennis graduated from Suffolk University's Sawyer Business School in 2013, earning a BS in Accounting, and a Master of Science in Accounting in 2014. Michael started his career at PwC as an intern from 2011 through 2013, and he worked as a full time hire at PwC from 2014 through 2017 primarily within the Tax practice. Within tax Michael has assisted the firm within corporate, partnership, and global mobility service devisions. During Michael’s time at PwC Michael not only worked within tax, but supported the firms diversity efforts. During 2017 Michael began working at a financial consulting firm known as CFGI in efforts to assist the firms tax practice.
Stephen is a supervisor in RSM’s Technical Accounting Consulting practice based in Boston, MA. He currently focuses on providing technical accounting advisory services to clients both in the New England market and nationally. These services range from assisting clients with all aspects of debt and equity financing transactions, business combination transactions, foreign currency and consolidation matters, and leasing and revenue recognition considerations.
Prior to joining RSM, Stephen served as assistant controller for a private health-care staffing company. As the assistant controller, he was responsible for financial reporting, overseeing a growing team, strengthening internal controls, developing accounting policies, and managing the external audit relationship. He was also previously a senior at a Big Four firm. He began his career at the Boston office of Deloitte & Touche LLP where he focused on providing audit services to clients, varying in maturity from early stage companies through large SEC filers.
Stephen earned his undergraduate degree in accounting and business management (BSBA) in 2012 from Suffolk University, graduating first in his class. He also served as a graduate research fellow at Suffolk University while earning his graduate degree in accounting (MSA) in 2013.
