Licensing is the key to maximizing the value of intellectual property. Effective, win-win licensing agreements allow research institutions, entrepreneurs and private businesses to grow exponentially. The key to licensing success is effective representation by savvy legal counsel.

In this interactive course you will acquire proven skills to maximize the value of the licenses you negotiate. You will engage with a group of your peers to negotiate a license in a simulated exercise and learn from seasoned negotiators and Suffolk faculty.

Students will access information and teaching on-line, negotiate with their partners face to face, via phone and email. The online portion begins October 4, 2018. Students will convene twice at Suffolk University School of Law for interactive discussions and presentations on October 17, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:30 and November 1 from 5:00 to 7:30. It is intended that this course take approximately 3-5 hours per week of study, coursework and negotiation. Cost $1,000.
