Suffolk Law was founded as an evening program designed to provide a legal education to working students. Today, graduates of our evening program can be found everywhere from the State House to the largest law firms, and everywhere in between.
With three-year or four-year options, our evening program is designed for students who want to pursue a legal education on a part time basis. The evening program is ideal for anyone with a full-time job, family commitments or other responsibilities that make it impractical to go to law school full time.
First-year evening students attend classes three nights a week beginning at 6 p.m.
The traditional four-year program begins in August and follows a traditional school year with classes in the fall and spring semesters. Summers are off.
The three-year Accelerated JD evening program begins in May. Evening accelerated students attend classes for eight straight semesters: summer, fall, spring. All classes are still held at night.
Evening students regularly participate in Suffolk Law’s vibrant community. They have participated in moot court competition teams, contribute to law journals and join student organizations.
As a candidate for admission, you must choose to apply to either the Day or the Evening Division.
