The Office of Financial Aid (OFA) posts scholarship opportunities available from non-Suffolk University Law School sources as they are provided to us. Student recipients of outside scholarships, benefits or awards must notify the OFA in writing regarding any outside funds received.
Recipients should note:
Students who receive a scholarship, grant, employer tuition benefit, or other tuition assistance not included as part of their original aid award should note that it may affect their annual financial aid award. This includes other institutional scholarship programs, including endowed and named scholarships, which may be awarded and added throughout the academic year.
Funds from any and all sources, including, but not limited to, Suffolk institutional scholarships, Suffolk endowed and named scholarships, outside scholarships, employer tuition benefits, and some veteran’s benefits may not exceed a student’s annual tuition charges.
Students who have been awarded funds from any and all sources, including, but not limited to, outside scholarships, employer tuition benefits, and some veteran’s benefits must notify the Office of Student Financial Services of this funding in writing.
Students who have been awarded funds from any and all sources, including, but not limited to, Suffolk endowed and named scholarships, outside scholarships, employer tuition benefits, and some veteran’s benefits and already have Suffolk Institutional funds may have the Suffolk institutional funds reduced or canceled to avoid an over (tuition) award.

Current Outside Scholarship Opportunities
Akin Gump Robert Strauss Diversity Scholarship
This scholarship program awards $25,000 to two exceptional second year law students. Funds are intended to take care of the students’ third year expenses in their respective law schools. Moreover, scholarships also give paid 2nd year Summer Associate position in the firm’s offices. The offices are based in New York, Houston, Los Angeles and also in Washington D.C. In addition to that, scholarships also include mentoring from the firm’s attorneys. This definitely provides personal support and also helps to facilitate students’ academic success. Any student applying for this financial aid must be a second year law student in a U.S. School of Law.
Applications may be submitted after July 2, 2018 until September 28, 2018.
Stanley R. Arnold Scholarship
With our first Scholarship award presented in 2015, this Scholarship honors Stanley R. Arnold, the Forum’s founder and former President, for his exemplary service to the state and local tax field over the last 30 years. In addition to celebrating Mr. Arnold’s decades of extraordinary service in both the government and private sectors, this Scholarship is intended to express appreciation for Stan’s personal commitment and contributions to promoting, encouraging, and enabling continuing education in the area of state and local taxation and tax policy. The Scholarship will endow a one-time $5,000 award to one deserving full or part-time student.

Asian Heritage Law School Scholarship
Boston divorce attorney Gabriel Cheong with Infinity Law Group LLC is offering an annual scholarship for law school students of Asian heritage. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded every fall semester and is intended to encourage more Asian Americans to choose a degree that will help them give back to the Asian community.The Asian Heritage Scholarship is open to students who will be attending an accredited US Law School in the fall of 2018 and meet all needed requirements.

Benson & Bingham Law Scholarship

Brown, PC National Tax Law Scholarship
Brown, PC (TX) is now accepting applications for the firm's National Tax Law Scholarship, a $500 stipend which will be awarded to a second or third year U.S. law student with a demonstrated interest in tax law.

Brown, PC National Business Law Scholarship
Brown, PC (TX) is now accepting applications for the firm's National Business Law Scholarship, a $500 stipend which will be awarded to a second or third year U.S. law student with a demonstrated interest in business law. The award will be paid directly to the student, and can be used for any expenses related to legal education, including but not limited to tuition, room, board, books, bar review courses, or commuting expenses.
The deadline for submissions is August 6, 2018 and the award will be announced on Friday, August 17, 2018.
Chapman & Albin Scholarship for Law Students
Chapman & Albin (OH) are offering a scholarship for a law student planning on attending, accepted to attend, or currently attending an accredited law school in the U.S.

Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick's Law School Scholarship for Veterans
Chisholm, Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD (RI) will award an annual $1,500 scholarship to a deserving veteran enrolled in or accepted to a U.S law school. Veterans of all branches of the U.S Military are eligible to apply (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard).

Christensen Law Firm Scholarship
The Christensen Law Firm (TX) Scholarship is a recurring scholarship worth $2000 designed to help one incoming 1L or continuing law school student pay for their tuition costs. Who is eligible: Incoming first year or continuing law students who are enrolled in an accredited law school in the United States, and hold a 3.5 minimum GPA.
Applications, including all supporting documents, must be submitted in full, online, by January 31, 2019.
DDR Lawyers Legal Scholarship
The DDR Lawyers (FL) Legal Scholarship, worth $1500, is designed to help one law school student pay for their tuition costs. Who is eligible: Admitted law school students attending an accredited law school in the United States with a minimum of 3.5 GPA.
Applications, including all supporting documents, must be submitted in full, online, by December 31, 2018.
Dell General Counsel Diversity Scholarship Application
Dell’s Legal Department has long recognized that diversity is crucial to achieving legal excellence, generating new ideas and inspiring innovation. Toward that end, we are pleased to announce the establishment of the Dell General Counsel Diversity Scholarship, which is designed to increase diversity within the legal profession. The Dell General Counsel Diversity Scholarship will provide financial, mentoring and networking support to outstanding, second and third year law school students at the University of Texas School of Law and at Suffolk University Law School. Two recipients will be selected from each law school—one 2L student and one 3L student during the 2018-2019 school year—to receive $5,000. Additionally, the 2L shall receive an additional $5,000 during the 2019-2020 school year so long as they remain eligible. In addition to the cash award, recipients of this scholarship shall also receive mentorship opportunities with members of the Dell Legal Department.

The Expert Institute Scholarship
The Expert Institute is offering a $2,000 scholarship for the best legal blog post written by a law student on the topic of expert witnesses.To be considered for the scholarship, you must submit a 1,500 to 2,500 word blog-style article on the use of expert witnesses in litigation .
The online submission deadline is December 31, 2018.
Frankowski Firm’s Annual Academic Scholarship Award
The Frankowski Firm is proud to announce the creation of the Annual Academic Scholarship Award. This scholarship will be awarded each year to a law student who is or will be enrolled in an accredited university or college in the Fall semester of the upcoming academic year. The award will be presented to the applicant who has best demonstrated outstanding academic achievement while promoting justice and serving the needs of those who have been disadvantaged or injured. The award is non-transferable, and can be paid directly to the school at the student’s request.

The Lawrence Bar Association Scholarships
Each year, the Lawrence Bar Association (MA) awards scholarships to local students to help defray the costs of attending law school. The scholarships are awarded to based on a combination of academic merit and financial need. Applicants must be currently attending law school in the United States, demonstrate a clear desire to further the aims of the legal profession, and whose primary residence is within the Greater Lawrence cities and towns (Lawrence, Andover, North Andover, Methuen).
There are two scholarships available: (1) $4,500 provided by the Sargent Battershill Fund and, (2) $2,500 provided by the Lawrence Bar Association Educational Trust. All applicants will be considered for both awards and the winners will be selected on an objective and non-discriminatory basis, regardless of applicant's race, creed, color, sexual orientation, religion, disability or sex. Late applications cannot be accepted.

Nadrich & Cohen, LLP Scholarship
For 2018 Nadrich & Cohen’s Scholarship Program is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving law student who authors a winning essay in their fifth annual Scholarship Essay Contest. Nadrich & Cohen Legal Scholarship Foundation’s Scholarship Award Program is intended for students who are dedicated to academic excellence and the preservation of the right to trial by jury. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist a student who seeks to become a trial lawyer for further research and reflection on the importance of the right to trial by jury – a basic constitutional right.

NW Corporate Law Scholarship
Now accepting applications for the Fall 2018 NW Corporate Law scholarship, which will be awarded to one second or third year law student who is in financial need and who is actively enrolled in an ABA-approved law school. The award will be paid to the student, and the awarded funds may be used by the student for any expenses related to the student’s law school education. Applicants must be a 2nd or 3rd year law student enrolled in an ABA-approved law school in the United States.

Padua Latino Justice Scholarship
The Law Offices of Alejandro Padua (TX) is offering the Padua Latino Justice Scholarship to a student currently enrolled in a U.S. University or Law School who are in need of financial assistance in order to help them achieve their academic and professional dreams. They are particularly encouraging applications from undocumented immigrants, DACA recipients and DREAMers, and students with pending immigrant or nonimmigrant visa applications.

The Reeves Law Group Scholarship
The Reeves Law Group (CA) is awarding a $3,000 scholarship to a deserving law student who authors a winning essay in their Sixth Annual Scholarship Essay Contest. The Sixth Annual Scholarship Contest will award a future lawyer who demonstrates through past, current and expected future deeds a genuine commitment to serve the less-fortunate.

Reiff and Bily Legal Scholarship

St. Thomas More Society of the Diocese of Worcester Scholarship
Currently, the St. Thomas More Society of the Diocese of Worcester (MA) awards a scholarship to a law student attending an accredited law school in the fall of 2018. Applicants or parents must be registered and active members of a parish in the Diocese of Worcester. Applicants may be in any year of law school studies.

Sutcliff & Stout Scholarship
The Sutcliff & Stout Law Firm (TX) is guided by the idea that all people are entitled to high-quality legal representation, regardless of wealth or social status. This idea requires that there are enough high-quality attorneys and legal professionals working in the field to support those who are in need of representation. In an effort to enable more students who have a passion for law to be able to pursue that passion, they are offering an annual scholarship contest which will award a law student with a $2,000 award to be put toward his or her law school costs.

Turco Muñoz Domestic Violence Survivor Scholarship
Domestic violence, in its many forms, is more common than you probably realize. It typically occurs behind closed doors, out of the eye of the public. Out of fear, embarrassment, financial dependency or a variety of other reasons, survivors often keep the abuse a secret.
The Turco Muñoz Domestic Violence Survivor Scholarship helps the cause by supporting the education of those who intend to professionally help with the domestic violence crisis. We help by annually paying a $1,000 tuition payment to the school of the scholarship winner.
The application period is May 15, 2018 - June 30, 2018.
