As Associate Director for Emerging Careers & JD Advising, Quaime V. Lee assists all students to define and obtain their career goals with a particular emphasis on careers where they can harness the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that the JD provides in order to meet the ever-evolving needs of businesses and clients in a wide range of sectors, including corporate legal operations, business and financial services, healthcare, government oversight and education administration.
Prior to joining the Suffolk Law PCD team as an Assistant Director in June 2014, Quaime was a Professional Development Advisor in the Center for Co-op and Professional Development at Northeastern University School of Law, where he counseled both Juris Doctor and Master of Laws candidates and graduates on internship opportunities and legal careers in all sectors of the legal profession, including government, public interest, private firms and business.
Previously he spent about six years at the U.S. Department of Labor in the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs here in Boston, starting as a claims adjudicator in 2003, progressing to senior claims examiner in 2005, and finally supervisory claims examiner in 2007, where he managed a team of professionals, paraprofessionals, and support staff in non-adversarial efforts to return injured federal workers to gainful employment.
A 2002 graduate of Northeastern University School of Law, Quaime completed full-time legal internships with the late Honorable Herbert Goodwin of the Massachusetts District Court; the Office of General Counsel for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority; and the law firms Peabody & Arnold LLP, and Davis, Malm & D’Agostine PC. In addition to his Juris Doctor from Northeastern, Quaime holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College and a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School.
